  • What do I need to take to DPS to obtain my permit?
    1.) Birth certificate (must be the original or a certified copy, no photocopies) 2.) Social security card (must be the original or a certified copy, no photocopies) 3.) Verification of enrollment (VOE) you must request this form from your high school. 4.) DE964 Form (Texas Drivers Education Certificate) This is given by the driving school. 5.) Two proofs of residency 6.) Fee for driving permit ($16 for 17 years or younger or $25 for 18 years and up)
  • How old do I have to be to start the teen class?
    15 years old.
  • How many hours must I drive with my parent?
    Must complete a 30 hour behind the wheel parent log.

  • When do I need to complete my Texas Impact?

  • What do I need to register for Driving School?
    1.) A form of payment 2.) Come to the school to fill out your contract.
  • When can I start my drive times?
    As soon as you have your permit.
  • When can I take my road test to get my license?
    Once you turn 18 or once you have held your permit for 6 months.
  • What do I need to take my road test?
    1.) Permit 2.) Form of payment 3.) Completion of Driver Education Certificate 4.) Completion of Texas Impact that is no more than 90 days old (make sure you select the correct age group)
  • What times and days are classes?
    Monday-Thursday 6pm-8pm
